San Francisco - Day 4

Took the bus down to The Exploratorium today ( a hands-on science museum). We watched a cows eye being dissected which was very interesting - kids weren't squeamish at all - I was waiting for yuks and eeuugghhs but got sensible questions instead. Spent about 3 hours trying out all manner of experiments.

Back on the bus we headed to Ghiradelli Square which used to house a chocolate factory. Indulged in ice-creams and milkshakes, chocolate of course, and then headed on up the steepest streets ever to walk down the crookedest street, Lombard Street.
Legs now giving way ( mine were shaking!) we staggered on to yet another bus and vegged out at the hotel until tummies told us it was tea-time!

All packed yet again and ready to head off to Monteray tomorrow
